{"id":3519,"date":"2009-12-16T10:01:04","date_gmt":"2009-12-16T15:01:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/37d57f8fa2.nxcli.io\/blog\/?p=3519"},"modified":"2009-12-16T10:51:04","modified_gmt":"2009-12-16T15:51:04","slug":"follow-me-already","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.marketingforsuccess.com\/blog\/web-marketing\/follow-me-already\/","title":{"rendered":"Follow Me Already!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left;\">I just hung up with a frustrated colleague.\u00a0 I had invited her to follow one of my new Twitter accounts and she quickly called by phone (I know, I know \u2013 that\u2019s sooo 2008!) to say, \u201cI\u2019ve been using Twitter for two months and I\u2019m providing quality content.\u00a0 I only have 24 followers.\u00a0 You just opened that account and you already have that many.\u00a0 How can I get more followers?!?!?\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Before we go any further, let me digress and mention that using Twitter is NOT all about how many followers you can collect.\u00a0 It is about the relationships that you build.\u00a0 <!--more-->One deep, solid relationship might develop into one lead: 15,000 uninterested followers will remain bystanders.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">That said, watching your number of followers is appealing.\u00a0 After all, it\u2019s an easy metric to track.\u00a0 So, if you\u2019re looking to build your number of followers, the big secret is that you must introduce yourself (aka.
