And, the big search engines recognized the power of the micro-blog and incorporated this content into their search results.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Watching all of these successes, the message has come through loud and clear that social media\/networking\/content is now a significant platform on which we, as business owners, must be present.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Social platforms are here to stay, and in 2010, business owners must approach social tools with a plan that sets forth their intentions for embracing these tools and defines<a href=\"https:\/\/www.marketingforsuccess.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/social-media-marketing-calendar.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-3662\" title=\"social media marketing calendar\" src=\"https:\/\/www.marketingforsuccess.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/social-media-marketing-calendar-97x150.jpg\" alt=\"social media marketing calendar\" width=\"97\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.marketingforsuccess.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/social-media-marketing-calendar-97x150.jpg 97w, https:\/\/www.marketingforsuccess.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/social-media-marketing-calendar-194x300.jpg 194w, https:\/\/www.marketingforsuccess.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/social-media-marketing-calendar.jpg 569w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 97px) 100vw, 97px\" \/><\/a> how they will accomplish these goals.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">As you are thinking about the social media plan for your company, you should consider the following:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<li>Who are your target clients?\u00a0 Are they actually using the media platform that you are using?\u00a0 (For example, if they are all local, are you participating in local networks?)
