And certain elements on your sales page are more worth testing than others.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">With that in mind, here are three easy things to split-test.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>The Headline<a href=\"https:\/\/www.marketingforsuccess.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/copywriting-ideas.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-4723\" title=\"copywriting ideas\" src=\"https:\/\/www.marketingforsuccess.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/copywriting-ideas.jpg\" alt=\"copywriting ideas\" width=\"150\" height=\"109\" \/><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">I don&#8217;t know if the headline accounts for 80% of the response of an ad or not, but I do know it counts for a lot.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">So if you&#8217;re going to split-test a sales letter, start with the headline. Just write two completely different headlines &#8212; and let them battle it out for first<br \/>\nplace.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Any Picture above the Fold<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Anything that appears on your computer screen when you first visit a web site is considered &#8220;above the fold.&#8221; Anything that you have to scroll down to see<br \/>\nis considered &#8220;below the fold.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">So if you have a picture on your sales letter that appears above the fold, try testing it against a different image. Sometimes two different pictures will<br \/>\nproduce wildly different results.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">And while you&#8217;re at it, make sure the picture has a <em>caption.<\/em> Captions get a much higher rate of readership than just about any other written<br \/>\nwords on a page, so make that caption count!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>The Guarantee<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Often your guarantee can make the difference between some sales and a lot of sales. So consider testing different guarantees.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">For instance, you could test a 30-day guarantee vs. a 1-year guarantee. Or you could test a simple money-back guarantee vs. a double-your-money-back<br \/>\nguarantee.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Always Be Testing<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Once you have a sales letter that you&#8217;re driving traffic to, it&#8217;s important to continually split-test to improve your conversion rate.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Multiple small improvements over time can ultimately lead to a sales letter that generates strong sales for years.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">&#8211; <em>Ryan<\/p>\n<p><\/em>P.S.
