Maybe you\u2019re looking for creative ways to make ends meet or ways to stretch your hard earned dollars to work for you in an economy that is shaky, at best.\u00a0 Or, maybe you\u2019re just looking for ways to more creatively express your talents and use your time.\u00a0 Either way, creativity is critical for survival in this new world economy.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Survival skill is defined by Wikipedia as \u201ca technique a person may use in a dangerous situation\u2026to save themselves or to save others.\u201d\u00a0 So, while you may not be in the wilderness trying to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marketingforsuccess.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/small-business-innovation.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-6199\" title=\"small business innovation\" src=\"https:\/\/www.marketingforsuccess.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/small-business-innovation.jpg\" alt=\"small business innovation\" width=\"150\" height=\"100\" \/><\/a>remember how to start a fire to keep warm, you do need to survive in your everyday life \u2013 which isn\u2019t always easy, given the state of what\u2019s happening in the world around us.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">So often we forget that we have so much to give to this world in terms of our creative abilities.\u00a0\u00a0 And even though we\u2019re not necessarily talking about becoming the next Picasso (although, that\u2019s great if that\u2019s where your passion and creativity lie) \u2013 we are talking about doing what you love or at least loving what you do.\u00a0 So, here are some big questions to have a think on:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<li>Am I doing what I love to do?<\/li>\n<li>If not, what might I do differently to either figure out how to love what I\u2019m doing or go about doing what I love to do?<\/li>\n<li>What support do I need to make this happen?\u00a0 Do I need to speak with a boss or spouse\/significant other \u2013 who are my key stakeholders?<\/li>\n<li>What creative endeavors make me feel good?\u00a0 How might I go about ensuring that I\u2019m able to do more of those?\u00a0 Maybe through volunteering, maybe through a more drastic means like changing careers?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Periods of uncertainty have proven to be some of the most creative.\u00a0 During the Great Depression more businesses were created than ever before.\u00a0 If these periods of uncertainty can be some of the most creative times from a national or international level, why not on a personal level?\u00a0 Give yourself permission to explore the possibilities of creativity and not only survive in these uncertain times, but thrive.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">&#8211; <em>Jeannine<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>With the uncertainty in today\u2019s economy, creativity is no longer a luxury, it\u2019s a survival skill.\u00a0 Whether you are unemployed, underemployed, happily or unhappily fully employed, creativity is a skill that needs to be nurtured and developed to keep yourself in the game.
