If you could take a week off, what would you do? Would you lie on the beach, go to Disneyworld, fly to Paris, or kick back at a luxury resort in the Caribbean?<\/p>\n

Isn\u2019t that what most people think of when they think of the perfect vacation?<\/p>\n

Well \u2013 maybe \u2013 but not me! When my wife and I take 10 days off in the fall we go to Vermont so we can play hard.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nJust to give you an idea, when I packed the car last Saturday, first I loaded the kayaks on the roof rack. Then I loaded the car with our gear, paddles, bike pumps and backpacks. Finally I strapped our bicycles onto the back and threw in our hiking boots and rain gear.<\/p>\n

And if my wife and daughter had their way I would have towed the sailboat up and a motorboat up too, but I had to draw the line somewhere.<\/p>\n

As you\u2019ve probably gathered, I\u2019m not much for sitting on my hands on vacation. Instead my wife and I like to spend as much time as possible outside exploring, whether the sun is shining, it\u2019s raining or even snowing as it did on a fall hike last year.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s your perfect vacation<\/strong>?<\/p>\n

Everybody has his or her own idea and I\u2019d be surprised if yours matches mine \u2014 which is just the way it should be. Everybody likes to do different things on vacation and the only commonality is that the perfect vacation is the one you take!<\/p>\n

If all you do is work, or take a few days off now and then, you\u2019ll never have that perfect vacation. And I don\u2019t know about you, but I\u2019m not waiting until I retire to take the perfect vacation either.<\/p>\n

P.S. Too busy to take a vacation? That\u2019s what I used to tell myself, too. Then I discovered how easy it was to find qualified people to outsource my business to \u2013 top-notch people who can keep the business running while I\u2019m gone.<\/strong><\/p>\n
