When you come across a great quote, fact or article retweet it! In a recent blog post,\u00a0Peggy Fitzpatrick\u00a0recently shared the\u00a012 Most Clever Tools On Twitter. This excellent post received 65 comments, 203 tweets and 103 retweets. Now that\u2019s sharing!<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2022 Play fair<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 It\u2019s not just about you; it\u2019s about the community. Don\u2019t just post things about yourself and your business. Answer questions, share advice and be helpful.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2022 Don\u2019t hit people<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; Twitter is not the place to have public battles. I recently made the difficult decision to \u201cunfollow\u201d two prominent members of the Twitter community who felt it was appropriate to have a week-long, back-and-forth \u201cspat\u201d for all of the Twitter community to witness.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2022 Don\u2019t take things that aren\u2019t yours\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 If the article, quote or tip you\u2019re sharing wasn\u2019t originally yours, give credit to the original author; don\u2019t plagiarize. In addition, if you publish one of those \u201cdaily\u201d blogs don\u2019t credit someone who retweeted an article as the \u201coriginal\u201d author. This happens to me frequently. I see my name and photo next to an article that I didn\u2019t write and only retweeted. This makes me feel very uncomfortable. Take the time to find the original author and give\u00a0them\u00a0the credit. I don\u2019t want it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2022 Say you\u2019re sorry when you hurt somebody<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Refer back to \u201cdon\u2019t hit people.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2022 Flush\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 Every now and then go through your list of followers and \u201cunfollow\u201d the spammers and those who haven\u2019t tweeted in weeks.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 <strong>Take a nap every afternoon<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Some of you seem to be on Twitter 24\/7.
