Thursday night we drove into New York City to see one of our favorite singers of all time, Bonnie Raitt.
I’m a fan of the blues and have been listening to Bonnie Raitt ever since she started her career back in the ‘70s when I was in college.
And her performance, was…
gripping as usual, with emotion and heart in every word. I loved it!
On the way home, it got me thinking about the current genre of TV shows, like The Voice, Think You Can Dance and American Idol and what the judges regularly tell the contestants.
Put your heart into it, make the emotion in your performance believable. Which is exactly what Bonnie did.
And it’s what you need to do with your marketing too, in your emails to prospects and clients and when you talk with them.
Let them know how passionate you are about your work. It’s one of the most powerful marketing tactics you can use to be successful – honesty, emotion and your love of what you do.
