Imagine you’re walking down the street and someone offers you a flyer, “Would you like more information about Giganta Corp?” they ask. You probably shake your head, swatting away the flier. Or maybe you take it to be polite then throw it out without even giving it a look.
You turn the corner and see someone else with fliers in hand. You avert your eyes, tired of all the day’s solicitations. But as you approach you hear something a bit unusual “I’m looking to make new friends, would you like some more information about ME?”
OK your first thought might be who the heck is this freak that stands around passing out flyers to find friends! BUT I bet you would take it. And look at it. And hey if the person had a lot in common with you you might even give them a call! (OK the fact that you met them trolling a street corner for friends would probably mean no call. I think I’ve officially pushed this analogy to it’s breaking point.)
Do you see what I’m getting at here? People connect with people, not brands or companies.
So people are much more likely to connect with YOU on twitter than your small business.
That’s why it is important use some version of your own name as your twitter username – NOT your company.

Putting a human face on your business is never more important than in this economy. The foundation of any good business plan today must include some sort of feedback channel between you and your potential customer. Let’s face it, it’s easier to trust a person than a shapeless corporate entity.

I do have same opinion that people want to connect with people not with businesses either one put a fake picture there. But most significant thing is how friendly you are with people on twitter. How often do you advice them or make them feel that you care for them. In this way you may stimulate your business through potential clients.
