Change Your Mindset, Grow Your Business

I just got back from Fabienne Fredrickson’s Mindset Retreat in Miami.  I actually never planned on going but after interviewing her for my Wise Women of The Web teleseminar series, her ideas intrigued me so I hopped on the plane.

What a week!  Fabienne devoted 3 days to ‘transforming’ the participants lives.  She covered a whole array of mindset issues-from the importance of thinking big and understanding your Big Why to how to get rid of the ‘gunk’ that is preventing you from being the full success you want to be.

Because I thought the content of Fabienne’s workshop is so important and touches EVERY single one of us, I have decided to devote the next several blog posts to the subject of mindset.

As Fabienne says, she used to think that mindset was a tiny fraction of her success and that excellent marketing was the most important factor.  Over the years, she has switched her views.  She now believes that mindset can account for at least 90% of her successes.

Fabienne believes that each and every one of us has a unique set of experiences, talents and abilities that we are destined to share. In effect, the world DESERVES to receive your potential and your contribution.  You need to ‘share your brownies’, not just bake them and keep them in the kitchen for yourself.

So the first step is to understand what it is that you can give?  What is in your background and innate talents that make your special gifts to the world magical.  And your experiences are part of that.  And not only the GOOD experiences because bad experiences are great teachers in lives and the lessons you are learned are meant to be shared.

The other problem is that you must think BIG.  Yes you can share your talents with a half a dozen people, 20 or even 200.  But why not up the ante?  Why not GO BIG?  Because the more people you touch, the more you are throwing pebbles in the pond, the more people you touch.
