How to Write Persuasive Bulleted Copy

Author: Mike Jezek   |   August 15th, 2010

People usually skim an ad or sales letter first before they decide to read it. And if your copy looks intimidating to read, then most people won’t read it; especially in 2010 America. That’s why inserting bullet points into your ad can make your copy much more compelling.

What is a bullet point? Here are 3 examples:

1. Why you shouldn’t perform aerobic exercise within 2 hours of a meal if you want to slim down rather than pack on globs of fat.blog spot bullets-01

2.  How to shed pounds and inches by eating more meals a day

3.  How to shed 5, 10, even 24 lbs simply by drinking water.

Here are some great ways to start bullets:

  • The single-fastest way to …
  • An almost magical …
  • How to …
  • 11 hidden …
  • A little-known but powerful way to …
  • The lost secret of …
  • How a …
  • Why you can … XXX … without … XXX …
  • A shocking …
  • New revelations reveal …

Target the reader’s curiosity and work numbers into your bullets. Make them quantified. And if you have dozens of bullets, break them up into sections of bullets by separating them with a headline.
